These girls always put a smile on my face, whether it is because they have secretly stolen Mrs. Octopus or because they are becoming more confident and independent, right in front of our eyes.
It is an honour to have a front row seat in watching kids learn. As adults, we forget to notice how delightful and magical it is to finally understand something. But kids, they beam with pride when they can tie their shoe or when they read a paragraph and understand each and every word.
Our biggest tip as educators is to celebrate every win, no matter how big or small. It helps motivate the kiddos and creates a learning environment that is encouraging and nurturing. The place kids learn, the classroom they are challenged in and pushed to grow is so important. It is our job to keep that place safe, warm and somewhere they want to be.
